-Provide direction and leadership to Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Customer Service programs
-Oversee the overall quality and safety of food products
-Leverage continuous improvement tools and industry best practices to improve quality systems and develop systems and processes that increase and improve operational efficiency
-Lead and manage internal and external audit teams during audits of facilities and drive consistency
-Represent the company in regular and frequent contacts with representatives of the regulatory agencies such as USDA and FDA
-Interact effectively at all levels within the organization and effectively communicate food safety and ingredient/product quality concerns to senior management
-Transform data into meaningful information and define activities that will drive improvement
-Develop procedures, standards and operational objectives guidelines for the Quality department
-Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or Food Industry Management
-5-7 years demonstrated successful experience in food production industry, Quality & Food Safety, HAACP, GMP's, SOP's, Audits
-Knowledgeable about all food safety standards that are customary within the food industry and mandated by government regulations
-Strategic and tactical success in designing and executing highly effective Quality Systems a plus
-Proven leadership and management experience
-Excellent communication skills verbal and written
