Our client, a fast-growing start-up in food manufacturing is searching for a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily operations and execute all phases of production and planning.

-Responsible for the successful day-to-day operation and production planning of the manufacturing facility
-Provide strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills to all employees
-Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
-Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
-Ensure and maintain a safe work environment and conduct routine safety meetings and inspections
-Oversee maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working environment
-Meet annual targets for sales and profit margins
-Support management in the development of the annual budget for operation capital expenses
-Coordinate, monitor and review the daily production schedule and procurement of materials for service
-Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas to improve and operate in a continuous improvement environment
-Responsible and working with the production team to ensure timely inventory control procedures
-Oversee all shipping and receiving and work directly with those responsible for inbound and outbound shipments
- Work with the production team to ensure inventory control procedures
- Follow all GMP’s, food, and workplace safety practices and ensure products meet or exceed QA standards using specified SOP methods
- Operate in a continuous improvement environment
-Responsible for all levels of employee and staffing management
- Strategically develop goals and objectives to profitably expand business


-5+ years’ plant/production/operations/planning management experience in a food manufacturing industry
-Strong team building, decision-making, and people management skills
-Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
-Knowledgeable of food safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, production/materials planning, and management.
-Knowledge and understanding of Integrated Planning systems, i.e. ERP, DRP, MPS, MRP, CRP or willingness to learn.
-HACCP Certification preferred
-Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise
-Problem-solving skills and self-motivated with a results-driven approach
-Experience in IQF, Liquid Nitrogen, thermal processing or kettle cooking is strongly encouraged to apply
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook required
-Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
