Denham Resources has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Buyer to join the team of our client, a well-established, successful, family owned manufacturing company.

 SALARY: $45k - $50k/Yr., DOE with excellent benefits

-Assist the Purchasing Manager with the development and maintaining of strategic relationships with new and existing vendors who are aligned with the company’s needs

-Implement procurement strategy and policies

-Build and develop relationships with key suppliers and customers

-Create and track purchase orders

-Ensure materials and services are of the best quality, purchased at the most competitive price and delivered on time

-Research new suppliers and vendors and make recommendations to the management team

-Assist in the monitoring of inventory including forecasting of supply base and quality assurance

-Ensure proper documentation and prepare detailed reporting



-Minimum of 3-5 years purchasing/procurement experience; industrial or manufacturing materials a plus

-Bachelor’s degree preferred

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook

-Creative research, problem solving and analytical skills

-Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task effectively
